As a family run storage and removals business TFM ‘The Furniture Men’ was established in 1992 and has been growing successfully ever since. Nearly 20 years later, the passion and drive to firmly establish our organically grown business as one of the South Easts most respectable storage and removals companies has seen us achieve our goal. That on-going passion is what differentiates our business from many others. Our closely-knit team pride themselves on their friendly but highly professional approach to all the services we offer. Adam ColemanAdam has been around TFM since before he went to school! Growing up he spent Saturdays and school holidays learning what it takes to be a removal man, he has now completed courses in export wrapping, packing fine china and glass and moving specialist furniture such as grand pianos. With a driving license allowing him to drive our 44 tonne lorry and trailers, which he acquired whilst only in his early twenties, Adam is an experienced removal man who has taken household removals to the Scottish Isles, Ireland, France, Italy and Scandinavia. |

James “Jim” PageJames “Jim” Page has been working for TFM since 2006, he is now an established team member. He has previously driven lorries around Europe and is an experienced driver of lorries and trailers – very handy when getting our larger rigs into tight housing estates and small villages around Britain and Europe! Jim has learnt the art of packing a complete household into a lorry, and has been on courses to learn export wrapping and packing of china and glass. |

Jamie BirdJamie first worked for TFM 13 years ago, in 1999. We think he can now be justified in describing himself as an established member of the team! Already having removals experience before joining TFM, Jamie brought his own knowledge and has since taken courses to fine tune his ability to export wrap furniture, pack china and glass and how to dismantle and re-assemble furniture. |

Harry DaviesHarry demonstrates TFM’s absolute commitment to developing the younger members of our team. We know that in ten years time the older members of our team will struggle to load and unload five tonnes of your furniture and boxes in a day – we need young blood! Harry started by learning basic manual handling and the correct way to lift and handle furniture and boxes. A year later his positive and friendly manner and his desire to be a ‘Furniture Man’ means we are proud to have him on our team. |

Steven CookeSteve approached TFM a number of times trying to get a job. His persistence paid off and two years ago we gave him a chance. Since he started work Steve has learnt basic manual handling, health and safety on removals, advanced handling of heavy and awkward furniture and has now been on a packing and export wrapping course. TFM are helping Steve get his driving licence and are confident he has all the attributes required to be a professional and competent ‘Furniture Man’. |

Joshua ColemanLike his brother Adam, Josh has never known life without removals! He has, since he could walk, learnt all aspects of removals and storage. Although only in his early twenties Josh has a licence to drive our LGV2 lorries and can pack china and glass, export wrap furniture and fine art, dismantle furniture as well as handle more difficult, heavy and unusual items such as grand pianos. Josh has been on many courses, learning how to visit customers and estimate removals and has recently taken his Certificate of Professional Competence in International Road Haulage. |
